Sikh Salman Khan

Sikh Salman Khan

Actor Salman Khan assumes a new avatar in director Samir Karnik's upcoming film.

We have seen him sport long hair and we have also seen him in
clean-shaven pate. Now, Bollywood star Salman Khan has turned a Sikh
for the film 'Heroes', which was previously titled Mera Bharat Mahaan
.

The movie has Salman playing a Sikh soldier from Punjab.

Obviously Salman wore a turban and grew his bread to play the
character. The actor reportedly did not shave for three weeks to get a
perfect bearded look despite having an option to use a fake beard.

Apart from Salman, the film stars Sunny Deol , Sohail Khan , Bobby
Deol , Preity Zinta , Amrita Arora and Mithun Chakraborty .

The film is a road movie about a group of students who go on a road
trip to make a documentary on India.

'Heroes' has been shot in Ladakh, Chandigarh, Punjab and Delhi. The
film is set to hit the theatres on May 1.

During the shooting of the film in 'Ladakh', Salman, along with other
stars, often went out on long motorcycle rides to Buddhist monasteries
in the region.

Salman strongly believes in harmony among different faiths and
religions. He has also visited the holiest shrine of Sikhs, The Golden
Temple, in the past.
