Ronaldo Refused Bipasha's Request

Bollywood bombshell Bipasha Basu`s plans to rope in her footballer friend and Manchester United star Christiano Ronaldo to promote her latest flick ‘Goal’ seems to have come up a cropper due to some sponsorship issues.



Ronaldo’s team sponsor is Nike while the football flick `Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal` is being sponsored by Reebok. This complication has made the whole exercise impossible now.

The entire cast of the movie wears Reebok shoes throughout the film.

The actress reportedly is extremely disappointed with the turn of events

. Apparently, the 22 year old footballer, who was quite keen to promote his good friend’s film is as disappointed as Bipasha. A self confessed bollywood buff, he and Bipasha had hit headlines early this year for their alleged lip-lock at a night club in Lisbon.

Unlike the usual bollywood movies, which show NRIs in plush bungalows and swanky cars, ‘Goal’ is realistic account of a bunch, which is struggling to make ends meet. The film follows their journey through various ups and downs, focusing on racial discrimination against Pakistanis, Indians and Bangladeshis in the UK with football as the background.

The movie stars real life couple John Abraham and Bipasha Basu in the main lead. Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani also play important characters in the film.

‘Goal’ is scheduled to hit the screens on the 23rd November.
