Mumbai, Ranbir Kapoor and his debut vehicle "Saawariya" are the talk of the town. But while the newcomer - son of actors Rishi and Neetu Kapoor - is pleased with the overwhelming response during promotional tours, he is also scared of some female fans.

His scariest experience with fans was at Hyderabad where an excited female fan broke the security cordon at the airport, jumped on to Ranbir and ripped off his jacket.

"It was scary and great fun. But now I make sure I wear extra layers of clothes when I go on these promotional tours," Ranbir told IANS.

"I must say the attention has been extremely flattering. Yeah, the girls! But the guys seem to like me too. But I like connecting with kids the most. I've always liked kids, maybe because I am one myself. I find them responding deeply to me. Everywhere it has been awesome, sometimes a little scary to see all these girls running towards you like the guy in 'The Bachelor' being pursued by hundreds of girls," he added.

Releasing Nov 9, "Saawariya" is also the launching pad of Anil Kapoor's daughter Sonam. Apart from the newcomers, the film also stars Rani Mukerji and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's favourite star Salman Khan.

Ranbir's next is "Salaam Namaste" fame director Siddharth Anand's film, which also has Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone and Minissha Lamba. For the record, the film is not a remake of Chris O'Donnell starrer "The Bachelor".
