Rumour mills worked overtime Monday evening saying that Sonia Agarwal attempted suicide dejected over the break-up of her marriage with Selvaraghavan.However, the actress�s family was quick to react to it claiming that she was �safe and well� at their ancestral house in Chandigarh.According to Sonia�s brother, �Why should my sister attempt suicide? She is staying with us in Chandigarh for the past few days. She is fit and fine.�The actress and her filmmaker husband applied for a divorce at a family court in Chennai on Wednesday. Since the couple filed for divorce with mutual consent, it is expected that the legal proceedings would be completed soon.There was a buzz a few months ago that the marriage of Selva and Sonia was on rocks. However they �proved it false� by attending the audio release ceremony of �Aayirathil Oruvan� together.
