James Cameron’s ‘Avatar’ in India

    

Vijay Singh, CEO of Fox Star Studios India called for the industry to witness a glimpse of the biggest Hollywood movie- ‘Avatar’ that is to hit the cinemas in the coming months and the guests came pouring in.


An exclusive 20 minutes of James Cameron’s much awaited movie ‘Avatar’ was screened at Imax in Wadala and Fame in Malad on Friday night while Vijay Singh addressed the guests and introduced the all new 3D movie. This was followed by a special video introduction by James Cameron and the footage of the movie and trailer.


But unlike every other time, this one was a director’s night, who enthusiastically came to watch the movie that promises to change the process of cinema making.


Seen at the do were Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Goldie Behl, Govind Nihlani, Sriram Raghavan, Ramesh Sippy, Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt, Mohit Suri, Suparn Verma, Sanjay Gupta, Bhushan and Divya Khosla Kumar, Shirish Kunde, J.D Majethia and many more.


Among the few actors were- Javed Jaffrey who seemed quite excited on watching the first glimpse. Others included Luke Kenny, Indraneil and Barkhar Bisht, Siddharth Kannan and Rehan Khan.


A treat for directors, the guests exclaimed the brilliance of the movie and some were heard commenting that the difference between what 3D and real was impossible to recognize
