CHATUR SINGH TWO STAR plagiarism Copy of THE PINK PANTHER

CHATUR SINGH TWO STAR plagiarism Copy of THE PINK PANTHER

Just days back there was news about how Ravi Chopra is being sued by people at 20th Century Fox on the grounds of plagiarism and how Ravi's under-production film BANDA YEH BINDAAS HAI has many similarities to Fox's Hollywood movie MY COUSIN VINNY Perhaps taking cue from it, now it seems now many other Hollywood studios are doing the same thing and trying to sabotage many Indian underproduction movies which bear similarities to their films from the west. The latest Bollywood film that is getting caught in the copyright violations imbroglio is the upcoming comic caper starring Sanjay Dutt and Amisha Patel, titled CHATUR SINGH TWO STAR.

Sources claim, "The people at MGM Studio have got a whiff that this Ajay Chandok directorial venture is a copy of their popular film THE PINK PANTHER. They strongly feel that the there is a resemblance to their Pink Panther character of Inspector Clouseau and that of the one Sanjay Dutt is essaying in the Hindi film."

CHATUR SINGH is written by Sai Kabir and is produced by Mohammad Aslam and Parag Sanghvi of Lotus Motion Pictures. The teaser poster of the film has given away the hint to the foreign studio which has a tag line 'He knows everything about nothing. He is on a mission to destroy himself and he is coming to a cinema near you.'

However we feel, it is still premature to talk about how deep is this issue as there is no clear conformation if at all the Hollywood studio is going to court with this or not.
