If there is one actor who continues to remain unpredictable on both on and off screen consistently then it is Akshaye Khanna. Industrywalas are left confused as to how he manages to have a high handed attitude when he has only one film on his hand that's Anil Kapoor's home production Short-kut – The Con is On in the pipeline. "He has not even been considered for Abbas-Mustan's Race sequel yet he cannot stop himself from throwing his weight around to all and sundry." an industry insider comments.

Another source revealed, "Recently Akshaye was invited to inaugurate a charity event in Mumbai and surprisingly though he chooses to stay away from public functions, he agreed. So the flyers and invitations were sent out, and since it was a charity event, the presence of a celebrity would only have added to the cause both in terms of stature and funds generated. The organizers were relaxed since Akshaye had already given his nod but as the date for the event neared they began panicking. That's because Akshaye suddenly went missing and became unapproachable, wouldn't answer his calls or reply to their text messages. The organizers were all set to press the panic button and go and keep a vigil outside his house to get hold of him. They were also looking for alternative guests to fill in for him. That's when one of the organizers thought of reaching Akshaye through his brother, actor Rahul Khanna. One of them knew Rahul and that probably did the trick, coz the same evening and a day before the event Akshaye reappeared and asked the organizers not to worry as he always kept his word."
Phewww We can only imagine what roller coaster ride of panic the organizers must have gone through all this.
