Chandni Chowk to China is the first major release of this Year. There are great expectations from this movie, especially from Akshay fans when Aamir and shahrukh have given blockbusters in last one month, To start with Akshay Kumar's Chandni Chowk to China is no Singh is King. It is much better that what we saw in Singh is King.

The movie revolves around Sidhu (Akshay Kumar) who lives in chandni chowk area of Old Delhi, and has dreams of becoming big. He follows every advise of his guru ji Chopstick(Ranvir Shorey). so when two chinese come to india in search of their old dead leader, guru ji Chopstick makes them beleive akshay is the Reincarnation of their Dead leader.


Story revolves around this, how Sidhu goes to china not knowing he has been taken there to kill the gangster HOJO(Roger Yuan). Anyways i won't go in details of the movie, Overall as Akshay Kumar told Amitabh Bachchan to leave his mind at home before coming to watch CC2C, you can do that also.. but what works for Chandni Chowk to china is the perfection of each and every shot. There are no loopholes as there were in Singh is Kingg, which was just a Non Sense Laughter ride, this one has a good unique story line. Pace of the movie is good too, and you never think the movie is stretching except one or two scenes.

Akshay excel in comic Parts, every now and then there will laugh riots in the theatre, as Akshay throws some punch line in his desi accent. He has retained the look of the character in the whole movie, something which was missing in Singh is king. From start to end of the movie you see the same Akshay Kumar (sidhu from chandni chowk). there are no dramatic changes, except his fighting skills. Akshay could have done much better in emotional front, but that has never been his expertise, so there was not much disappointment in that regard. The fight sequences by Akshay are not over the top, and one (who has followed martial arts movies) can relate to those action sequences.

Ranvir shorey has done a good job as Guru ji and shares good part of screen space in the whole movie.

Talking about the leading lady Deepika Padukone, firs of all thank god nikhil advani didn't go with Katrina Kai for this movie, cause Deepika is pretty as well as can act unlike Katrina :) (no hard feelings kat, we still love u). The Martial Kung fu fight done by Deepika Padukone will amaze many viewers, never in my life i have ever seen a Bollywood actress doing a fight scene with such perfection and it looked all real. Credit for which goes to Deepika Padukone's hard work and Action director of the movie. Deepika has very few dialogues, but whenever she comes on screen you don't miss Katrina she is as adorable as katrina but has better facial expression than her. Certainly a star in the making.

Roger yuan as Police inspector Chiang is the one to look out in the movie. He is very important part of the movie as he holds the middle and climax of movie and speaks in hindi in most of the movie with real perfection. Hopefully we will see a lot of this talented actor in future in Bollywood.

There are no unwanted songs, Chandni Chowk to China has an excellent theme and Cinematography. Naam hai sidhu keeps on playing in the background for the whole movie. India se aaya mera dost is ok types. Chinese Cores music has been used to a very good extent and works well in the background.

Only negative point I could see was the authority of gangster HOJO, the character is not very weel explained.

Action sequences are great, they look good to your eyes. Most of the movie is shot in China, and you see only 4 Indian faces in the whole movies (Akshay, Deepika, Ranvit and Mithun). All other leads are of Bhinese decent, another thing which shows that this movie is made for audience of the world not for Bollywood audience only.

This was the first venture of Warner Bros in India, and they have made sure that Nikhil Advani has enough funds to shot every scene to perfection. Overall a freat start to Year 2009, a must watch movie for any Bollywood Movies Fan. A sure shot Block Buster which might break Ghajini's record seeing what Singh is King did last year.
