Shahrukh's Bday Interview

Shahrukh's Bday Interview

On a day when millions of his fans and the entire media fraternity are in a delirious mode and want to catch just a glimpse of their favourite star on his birthday, Shahrukh Khan said that it is not the birthday but what you do in life that matters. The superstar was talking exclusively with Zeenews while greeting the droves of fans who had gathered outside his bungalow here on Friday.

Clad in a white shirt and relaxed blue jeans, SRK said he was glad that so many were wishing him well but his birthday never really mattered to him. “I come from a lower middle class background where the resources were frugal. In fact I don’t remember my childhood birthdays at all,” he added.

Thanking God, people and media for his success, Shahrukh minced no words in expressing gratitude to media’s warm glare on his life. “Earlier I used to stay away from paparazzi. But I have realized that media is doing the same job that we actors do. So I involve them in my birthday celebrations- whatever they are!”

Asked what his children and wife Gauri had gifted to him, SRK said that he has not received any big presents yet apart from the ‘Guinness Book of World Records’ from her daughter Suhana. Aryan, his son, has promised he would invite him to his birthday celebrations even after turning 18 years old, he added. Apart from that, a few friends will come around at his house.

Between flying kisses and feverish waving, Sharukh said that he was really awaiting the release of his much-awaited film ‘Om Shanti Om’ and asked his fans to see it with their family.
