Police Case Against Shahrukh in Liquor Case

A local court has summoned Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan to appear before it on December 11 for allegedly promoting alcoholism by featuring in a liquor commercial.



Chief Judicial Magistrate Deepesh Tiwari has also summoned the manufacturer of master Stroke Deluxe Whisky.

The court, after recording the statement of petitioner Vinod Kumar Tripathi and other witnesses, registered a case against Khan and the General Manager Digo Raddico Distelleries Associates Alcohol and Breweries Limited, Khargone.



In the petition Tripathi said he saw a board displaying Khan with the liquor and people, reading the board "success needs a master stroke", were purchasing the brand.

The petitioner demanded action against the actor for promoting alcoholism which is against the law. Advertisement of alcohol and its public use is banned in the country.
